Challenge
High-impact campaign
for a live NYC event
Daily Mail Sport needed a visual campaign to promote an in-person live sports talk in New York. The creative had to capture attention instantly, communicate liveness, and work seamlessly across large-format print, transit spaces, and digital screens — for an audience of over one million readers.
Approach
A cohesive visual
system, built for scale
I developed a visual system rooted in Daily Mail's recognizable style, balancing urgency, curiosity, and brand consistency. The core goal was a design language that translated well across every scale — from billboards to vertical web banners — without losing impact or legibility.
Design decisions
-
Hierarchy
A bold Daily Mail–style LIVE badge paired with a strong headline establishes instant recognition and communicates the real-time nature of the event across all formats.
-
Imagery
Layered player cut-outs add motion and depth. A central silhouette introduces intrigue, hinting at the featured speaker and inviting viewers to engage before they read a word.
-
Color & Type
Signature Daily Mail Sport green anchors call-to-action elements. High-contrast typography ensures legibility at every viewing distance — from transit transit cards to billboard scale.
-
Production
Print-ready 300 DPI PDFs, scaled artboards for billboards, transit posters, social formats, vertical web banners, and polished mockups for stakeholder sign-off.
